 
        
        Locum Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon to be based at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundations Trust (NCIC) and deliver a vascular service across North, East and West Cumbria. This is an opportunity to join an organisation in which clinicians are at the forefront of vascular surgical management, with opportunities to practise and expand endovascular skill through close working relationships with the interventional radiology service. Candidates wishing to work part time and/or flexibly are welcome to apply.
Main Duties
 * Provide a 24/7 consultant of the week service for emergency vascular patients.
 * Carry out elective vascular surgical operating lists, outpatient clinics and endovascular and hybrid procedures.
 * Support the service with a 24/7 middle grade tier.
 * Develop subspecialist interests such as aortic aneurysms, renal access and diabetic foot management.
 * Participate in leadership, management development and medical education opportunities within the Trust.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Valid Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
 * Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent.
 * High level of clinical experience and competence in vascular surgery.
 * Experience in endovascular therapies and renal access surgery.
 * Knowledge of audit processes and clinical governance.
 * Strong communication, teamwork and independent decision‑making skills.
Key Attributes
 * Ability to take full and independent responsibility for vascular surgical patients.
 * Demonstrated surgical experience of index vascular procedures and operations.
 * Experience in district general hospital practice and endovascular techniques.

Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 per annum
