Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join a friendly and busy on-site team for a treatment plant based in Fawley, Hampshire.
Introduction
The primary role of the Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer will be perform E, C & I maintenance support to the sites Operations and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
* To provide E, C & I support across the site
* To conduct planned preventative maintenance in accordance with PPM schedule.
* To perform all duties in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation and the company’s policies and objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment.
* To be responsible for ensuring that appropriate repair and maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency.
* Assist in detailed planning of and preparation for plant maintenance shut down periods.
* Advise management of safety issues.
* Conduct hazard and risk assessments for routine and defect maintenance tasks as required.
* Recommend modifications or maintenance procedures that enhance the plant’s performance.
Ideal / Desirable Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years in industrial environment, revolving around Electrical and/ or C & I installation, testing, inspecting & calibration.
* Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems.
* PC literate, and capable of learning how to use new software systems.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A minimum of 18th edition or NVQ equivalent and experience of maintaining industrial installations and equipment.
* Good knowledge of Instrumentation & process controls including PLCs.
Desirable Skills:
* COMPEX 01 to 04 preferable but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate
* Experience with working in a Hazardous Area Environment.
* Waste management experience.
* Continuous processing Plant experience
* Recognised Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
Salary - £40,000 - £45000 (including bonuses)
Hours: Day Shift Monday to Friday
