About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will be responsible for working closely with individual pupils or small groups to support their learning, emotional well-being, and behaviour. Your role will be to help them engage meaningfully with the curriculum and develop vital life skills in a safe and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and group support tailored to the individual learning needs of students. Assist teachers with classroom activities and inclusive teaching strategies. Help manage behaviour in line with school policy and support positive reinforcement. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to review meetings. Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to ensure appropriate learning strategies. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom culture for all learners. Job Requirements: Previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Understanding of various SEN conditions, including autism, SEMH, and communication difficulties. A calm, patient, and resilient approach to classroom support. Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN (preferred). Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management practices. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Why Join GSL Education?
