Job Purpose
Reporting to an Operations Manager, the role involves delivering O&M services to offshore renewable energy assets, including wind turbines, transmission assets, foundations, and subsea cables. The Technician ensures these services are delivered safely, timely, and according to contractual standards.
Organisational Context
You will be part of a team responsible for onshore and offshore site activities under O&M contracts, working closely with internal teams and external contractors, including HSE, Technical, and Engineering departments.
Key Accountabilities
* Perform operation and maintenance services, including electrical and mechanical work offshore and onshore.
* Conduct inspections and planned maintenance of assets.
* Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency site visits as needed.
* Ensure safety and compliance, produce risk assessments and method statements.
* Maintain tools, equipment, PPE, and provide reports to clients.
Competencies and Skills
* Deliver planned and reactive offshore activities.
* Work effectively solo and in teams.
* Maintain complex systems and work at heights.
* Participate in emergency response rotations if required.
Knowledge and Skills
* UK Health & Safety legislation, data logging, communication systems.
* Fault-finding in LV & mechanical systems, wind turbines, and HV systems.
* Use of Microsoft Office tools.
Qualifications
* NVQ 3 or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
* Full driving license, GWO training, IRATA/rigger qualifications (desirable).
