Position: Finance Business Systems Analyst
Reporting to: Head of Finance Business Applications

Type: 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a Finance Business Systems Analyst that has strong Oracle Cloud EPM Solutions knowledge.You will focus on driving positive change, contribute to our growth, and shape the future of our Finance organisation and form close working relationships internally with Finance IT, the wider Finance team and business units.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the EPBCS based Forecast, Budget, and Long Range Plan Processes from a systems perspective
2. Support the FCCS group consolidation process
3. Support working day/planning timetable processes
4. Support monthly /ad-hoc finance systems processes such as month end close, reconciliation, master data management, change requests etc
5. Maintain and monitor change/ticket requests
6. Create, maintain and monitor analysis of system performance, hierarchy’s and current processes with the focus being on improvement of end user experience
7. Establish best practices and support user community training on Oracle Report development and Smartview
8. Support the management of Oracle tools in the Finance function; including updates, UAT, process improvement and documentation, standard report development, chart of account maintenance etc
9. Gathering requirements from users and detailing both process and technical requirements to translate end-user requirements into finished and working Oracle Applications Design
10. Develop and enhance performance, processes and controls across all finance business applications
11. Deliver high-quality change aligned to the finance business applications roadmap
12. Create, maintain and manage documentation for all Oracle support initiatives and change requests
13. Be the bridge between understanding business needs and generating system requirements
14. Support Finance in delivering continuous improvement utilising industry trends and best practices in finance system applications and automation toolsets
15. Contribute SME knowledge on wider Hiscox change initiatives
Skills / Qualifications / Experience required:
16. Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud Solutions and associated applications – with preference to experience in the following:
17. Planning (EPBCS)
18. Allocations (PCMCS)
19. Consolidation (FCCS)
20. Tax (TRCS)
21. Reconciliation (ARCS)
22. Experience working in or with a Finance function
23. Experience in utilising software’s such PowerBI suite to provide analysis and produce reporting across large data sets
24. Solid understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
25. Strong communication skills
26. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
27. Strong control mindset and experience
28. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
Reporting Relationships / Interactions
29. Reports to the Head of Finance Business Applications
30. Maintain constructive and supportive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including the Finance business unit and IT teams, internal project teams and external consultants
