Finance Manager – Glasgow Location: Glasgow Position: Full-Time, Hybrid Morris & Spottiswood is seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Manager to join our team in Glasgow. Key areas of responsibility: Technical: * Manage and oversee daily finance operations, including Payroll, Purchase Ledger, Subcontractor Ledger and Credit Control * Prepare, consolidate and present monthly management accounts * Maintain compliance with HMRC regulations, including CIS, VAT, PAYE reporting * Perform regular Balance Sheet & Intercompany reconciliations * Conduct cash forecasting and management * Collaborate with finance teams throughout the M&S Group and its subsidiaries * Work closely with Commercial Teams to support business objectives * Involvement with preparation of statutory accounts * Liaise with Auditors & Corporation tax professionals * Provide financial insights and support to the Financial Controller * Additional Adhoc duties Qualifications and Experience: * Proven experience in a similar finance management role * Minimum of 5 years of post-qualified experience in ACCA, or a similar qualification * Strong knowledge of financial processes and regulations including UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice * Experience with Microsoft Navision or Business Central * Experience in the Construction Industry * Excellent organisational and leadership skills * Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities What We Offer: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunities for professional growth and development * A supportive and collaborative work environment * The chance to be part of a reputable and growing company
