Level 3 Teaching Assistant - SEND Support Salary Range: NJC Scale Grade 4, Points 7 to 11 (FTE £26,403 - £28,142) Actual Salary: £19,949 to £21,263 per annum Status: Fixed Term Contract Woodthorne Primary School is looking for a compassionate, skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for an exceptional KS2 learner. This is a truly special role. You’ll be working with a child who is, quite simply, a delight to be around; a happy, vibrant individual who is loved by everyone and brings a smile to every room. A natural risk-taker with a resilient spirit, this young learner is full of character: unique, funny, endlessly interesting and the definition of joy. They approach each day with optimism and energy, and they deserve someone who can help them continue to flourish. The child requires supervision throughout the day and benefits from an adapted, personalised curriculum. They can struggle with remembering steps and routines, so the right TA will be someone who can support learning in small, meaningful stages, offering gentle guidance, structure and plenty of encouragement. With the right person beside them, this learner will continue to grow in independence, confidence and curiosity; and you will play a key part in that journey. We are looking for someone who is: Patient, nurturing and able to form strong, trusting relationships. Skilled in adapting learning experiences to meet individual needs. Creative, proactive and ready to think differently to capture interest and spark joy. Reflective and resilient, able to celebrate small wins and build progress step by step. Dedicated to ensuring every child is safe, included and given the chance to shine. Our school values of Courage, Ambition, Respect and Excellence (CARE), shape everything we do. You will join a warm, supportive team where staff champion each other as much as they champion our pupils. If you believe in every child’s potential and you’re ready to make a life-changing impact on one extraordinary learner, we would be delighted to hear from you. Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
