Days Maintenance Engineer
Solutions Development Studios, Daventry
Salary: £48,000 per annum, with potential to exceed £50,000 through overtime.
Working hours: 10:30 – 19:00 permanent days, Monday to Friday. No nights or weekends.
Job Description:
Provide breakdown cover on automated fast‑moving equipment and service & repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.
Responsibilities
* Continuous improvement of equipment.
* Day‑to‑day attention to mechanical breakdowns and changeovers.
* Active participation in generating ideas for improvement.
* Root cause analysis of production problems and implementation of preventive measures.
* Electrical fault‑finding.
* Safe installation of machinery and control panels.
* Installation and service of material handling, weighing, and wrapping machinery.
Qualifications
* Experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential.
* Experience with fast‑wrap machinery essential.
* Team player with ideas, enthusiasm, and ability to work under pressure.
* Open‑mindedness to learn new techniques and technology.
* Mechanical and electrical ability essential.
* Formal qualifications: NVQ, C&G, or ONC.
* Time‑served apprenticeship advantageous.
