We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our client's dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and high-quality supply chain solutions. You will play a key role in supplier management, negotiations, and continuous improvement, supporting operational goals and delivering exceptional value to the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Lead sourcing activities, including RFQs, market benchmarking, competitive bidding, and supplier negotiations. Develop and execute purchase order agreements, long-term contracts, and supporting documentation in line with company objectives and regulatory compliance.

* Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance, manage risk, and implement action plans to ensure high-quality standards and on-time delivery. Conduct supplier evaluations and support development initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.

* Operational Support: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure on-time delivery, adapt to schedule changes, and address unforeseen supply challenges. Act as a backup for MRO purchasing and provide support across other commodities or sites as needed.

* Continuous Improvement: Drive cost reduction, improve inventory turns, and reduce lead times. Contribute to process improvements and best practices across value streams, incorporating market benchmarking and new technologies.

* Compliance & Audits: Adhere to procurement procedures and government regulations for material purchases. Support sourcing audit requirements as needed.

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

* Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, contract terms, bid strategies, and regulatory compliance.

* Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

* Ability to navigate complex supply challenges and adapt to changing demands.

* Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

* Experience with supplier risk management and performance evaluation is a plus.
