Location: Sheffield 2/3 days, remaining remote (per week)
What You’ll Do
* Design and implement migrations of infrastructure and services from legacy to new platforms.
* Liaise with service owners to arrange suitable timing for migration activities.
* Adhere to strict change control guardrails and governance standards.
* Build automation solutions for the new platform.
* Understand and modify existing code to work with new technologies.
* Create deployment pipelines using client approved technologies.
* Adhere to configuration and API standards.
* Share knowledge and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
What You Need to Succeed
* Strong technical knowledge of Python, API development, and code testing/review.
* Hands‑on experience with automation tools and platforms, including Bash, Jenkins/CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, and HashiCorp Vault.
* Solid understanding of networking concepts, including BGP, routing, TCP/IP, certificates/PKI, VMware, and KVM.
* Focused experience with F5 load balancers and automation of operational processes for the F5 estate.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a supportive, team‑oriented environment.
Nice to Have
* Experience working in banking or enterprise IT environments.
* Familiarity with IT change control processes.
