Job Title: Site Construction Manager – Roof-Mounted Solar (Live Environments)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a roof‑mounted solar PV project in a live operational environment. This role requires a hands‑on leader with strong site management capability, exceptional health & safety awareness, and proven experience coordinating roof‑based solar construction activities. The successful candidate will ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day site operations for roof‑mounted solar PV installations.
* Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly within live operational settings.
* Oversee subcontractors, site teams, and specialist solar installers.
* Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and maintain site documentation.
* Coordinate with the project manager, client representatives, and stakeholders.
* Monitor progress, identify risks, and maintain programme timelines.
* Ensure high‑quality workmanship and adherence to technical specifications.
* Manage access, permits, RAMS, and site control measures.
* Resolve site issues promptly to keep the project on track.
Required Experience & Skills
* Demonstrable experience delivering roof‑mounted solar PV construction projects.
* Proven leadership experience working within live environments (commercial, industrial, or public buildings).
* Strong understanding of solar installation processes and associated construction sequencing.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Strong health & safety background.

* SMSTS
* CSCS (Black/Gold)
* First Aid at Work
* Electrical or construction background beneficial
