Offer description

Are you responsible, able to work independently, flexible, fair, reliable, and trustworthy? Do you have experience working with young people? If so, you might be the person we are looking for.

We are recruiting an enthusiastic team of Accommodation Support Officers to provide welfare, safety, and practical support to students aged 16 and over in our 104-bed halls of residence and host family accommodation. The role involves liaising with student residents, ensuring security, safety, wellbeing, and organizing events.

This casual vacancy requires out-of-office hours work, including weekends and bank holidays, on a flexible rota basis, as we operate 24/7. Available working patterns include:

* Waking Nights: 22:00 – 08:30

Applicants must be routinely available to work these hours. This is a waking night role.

While primarily based at Brooksby College, some flexibility may be needed to work occasional shifts at Loughborough College Accommodation to ensure adequate 24-hour staffing at both sites.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over, in accordance with working time regulations 1998. Candidates should have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English (e.g., GCSE grades A-C) and participate in induction training prior to shift allocation. Please note, no accommodation is provided with this role.

The College aims to attract, develop, and retain the best talent by offering a motivating and inclusive workplace that recognizes talent. We are committed to promoting diversity and an inclusive community, believing that diversity enhances our success.

We are proud to have achieved the Investor in Diversity award and actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups, using positive action under the Equality Act. We welcome everyone to consider joining us.

We support your professional and personal development and offer a benefits package including:

* A competitive pension scheme
* On-site parking
* Subsidised nursery fees
* Additional annual leave
* CPD and development resources
* Well-being hours
* Opportunities for volunteering in the community and charities

We offer family-friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, and support services for mental health and wellbeing from diverse backgrounds.

Our investment in modern facilities and resources reflects our commitment to providing an outstanding environment for learners and staff.

The successful candidate will be employed by The Leicestershire College, a subsidiary of Loughborough College. Employment terms differ from those of Loughborough College. Employees are based at Loughborough College.

Please note, we cannot sponsor skilled worker visas. Applicants must have the right to work without sponsorship.
