We are looking for a skilled and experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join our client’s team in Corby. In this role, you will work on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring high standards of mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance.
The Role:
1. Carry out a wide range of mechanical repairs in line with approved procedures, including cambelts, clutches, wheel alignment and general wear-and-tear MOT failure work.
2. Work efficiently to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales, prioritising workload to maximise productivity.
3. Identify and highlight where repairs are not viable or where alternative repair solutions may be required.
4. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, escalating opportunities where work could be completed more effectively or cost-efficiently.
5. Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant with workshop standards.
6. Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed and job documentation is completed accurately.
7. Support the wider workshop with additional duties as required by management.
The Person:
8. Qualified Vehicle Technician, holding City & Guilds, NVQ or IMI Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications.
9. Level 4 or Master Technician status would be highly advantageous.
10. Experience or qualifications in areas such as EV Level 3 or 4, ADAS Level 2, PicoScope diagnostics, advanced electrical systems, engine management, wheel alignment or MOT testing are highly desirable.
11. Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
12. Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanical Technician, Road Tester, Mechanical Inspector, Mobile Technician, Roadside or Recovery Mechanic, Car Mechanic or similar role.
