Cygnet are currently looking for an experienced Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team working at Conifers.Conifers is a specialist 7-bed residential home providing outcome-focused care for adults with a primary diagnosis of profound to moderate learning disability and autism with associated complex needs.We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each persons specific needs. Job responsibilities

The people we support:

* People from the age of 18 years
* Individuals with a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities
* May have autism
* May have communication challenges
* May have associated complex needs
* May have physical disabilities and require specialist mobility equipment

What you will need:

* Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour and complex healthcare needs, including Epilepsy.
* Preferably hold a full clean UK driving license (although this is not essential for this role)
* A can-do attitude and the ability to work well within a friendly staff team.
* Knowledge of non-verbal communication techniques such as Makaton would be advantageous; however, training on this will be provided.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
