Are you seeking your next Electrical Engineer position as an RF Engineer for a renowned company within the Defense industry?
The schedule for this electrical engineer role is 9/80, i.e., one 5-day work week alternated with a 4-day work week.
What you will be doing?
Design and develop electrical/electronic designs, starting from concept and advancing to implementation into finished working designs.
Manage project initiatives of importance to the organization with general oversight and direction. Communicate within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes, and approaches. Make improvements in processes, systems, or products.
What we need you to be able to execute?
Design and develop electrical/electronic design concepts and implement them into finished working designs. Work from specifications, requirements, design concepts, and inputs from customers and other engineers involving multidisciplinary activities.
Lead and support the assembly and integration of products/systems containing microwave components or subsystems, leveraging extensive troubleshooting experience.
Synthesize and define RF system designs for complex electro-optical solutions.
Coordinate system-level requirements internally and among subcontractors and suppliers.
Design and develop microwave components, circuits, and subsystems for multidisciplinary product applications.
Develop test procedures, specify test equipment (including Vector Network Analyzers, Noise Figure Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers), and provide technical assistance during testing of prototype and production hardware.
Identify and execute continuous improvement plans for the EE team.
Develop estimates to complete work, in terms of engineering hours and schedule duration.
Conduct or coordinate system cascade analyses, trade studies, and complex design risk trade-off analyses.
Coordinate and lead design reviews of new or existing designs; prepare and present complex internal and external design reviews.
Provide technical supervision and mentoring to lower-level engineers.
Support production floor activities for system integration and testing.
Manage projects and processes with general supervision and regularly communicate with other engineering disciplines.
Develop production documentation and oversee the configuration management process (official release, redlines, Configuration Control Board meetings, etc.).
Perform design analysis and establish circuit-level tests to validate designs, including thermal effects and contributions of tolerances.
What are the must-haves on your resume?
* Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Already obtained clearance is a significant bonus.
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Graduate degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
* At least 2 years of experience designing and developing microwave components, circuits, and subsystems for multidisciplinary product applications.
* Familiarity with MS Office products.
Additional Skills include:
* Experience with mixed signal Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and development, preferably using Mentor Graphics tools.
