* The finance team is small, requiring an adaptable individual prepared to lead as well as execute core tasks.
* The finance function is central to commercial performance and strategy, and the role works closely with the Board, reporting directly to the CEO.
About the Role
* The post is based in Guildford, Surrey, with 4–5 days per week in the office.
* Responsible for managing and improving profitability, developing and reporting key KPIs, and enhancing finance processes and systems.
* Oversee all aspects of finance: statutory accounts, management accounts, cash flow, credit control, accounts payable/receivable, compliance, and tax filings.
* Engage in budgeting, risk management, financial controls, and commercial support for tenders.
* Mentor and coach the finance team, supporting professional growth.
Candidate Profile
* A qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant, with extensive senior finance leadership experience is essential.
* Strong track record in group consolidated accounts, financial statements, and cash flow management.
* Hands-on, analytical, commercially aware, and able to work closely with senior stakeholders.
* Experience with Xero (and ideally HubSpot) finance systems, plus advanced proficiency with core Microsoft Office applications.
* Change management and process improvement skills highly desirable.

* The interim role is offered
initially on a temporary contract
