Overview
The Special Education Needs (SEN) Service is seeking to recruit a Specialist Teacher (Soulbury 12-15). The post will be in the first instance fixed term until 31st March 2026, subject to funding. The role forms part of the Change Partnership Programme and will support our Local Inclusion Support Offer, providing school teaching staff with curriculum ideas, adaptations and environmental changes to support pupils with complex SEN needs in mainstream primary school.
Through the creation of a support plan you will provide knowledge and skills to existing staff, enabling them to meet the needs of SEN children. Part of the work will also involve providing wider school support to enable the school to support mainstream inclusion.
Responsibilities
Support a newly formed project team that includes a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Family Support Worker, Positive Behaviour Analyst, Speech and Language and Occupational Therapist.
Communicate with all school staff and health professionals to achieve appropriate outcomes for children.
Qualifications
Seeking a committed teacher with education and SEN experience. Must be able to communicate effectively with all school staff and health professionals.
Applicant should have wider knowledge of education, health and social care support available to families, ensuring families receive the right support. Should be educated to degree level, with significant experience across the education, health and social care system.
Salary
Soulbury – Educational Improvement Professionals 12‑15 (£56,871 – £61,271)
