Salary £32,000Hours 8-5pm Monday to Friday30 days holiday and profit share
Location - Northallerton
You will play a key role in managing live fermented dough systems, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining exceptional product quality and consistency.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational ResponsibilitiesManage live fermented dough systems within a continuous manufacturing environment over multiple days.Maintain output, quality, and consistency across the production line to ensure daily production plans are achieved.Ensure all products meet QAS standards for weight, size, bake profile, and overall appearance.Identify, highlight, and communicate production issues promptly while liaising with management where required.Monitor dough performance and make adjustments to maintain optimum production efficiency.Support smooth day-to-day bakery operations while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Team Development & LeadershipCoach and mentor team members on dough production and dough management techniques.Support cross-training initiatives to improve flexibility and knowledge sharing within the production team.
Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement within dough production and production line operations.Lead or contribute to improvement projects that enhance efficiency, consistency, and product quality.
Product Development SupportAssist with future new product development projects that utilise bakery and baking expertise.Work collaboratively with operational and development teams to trial and implement new products.
Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience working with fermented dough systems in a bakery manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of dough handling, fermentation, and baking processes.Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Experience mentoring or training team members is highly desirable. xsngvjr A proactive mindset with a focus on quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
