We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Weymouth who want to use and build upon their clinical skills and knowledge and benefit from the excellent work‑life balance and professional development that a career as a WCA Functional Assessor can give you.
We are seeking applications from clinicians with a minimum of 1‑year post‑qualification experience and registration in the UK. In this role you will grow your medical knowledge of a wide variety of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions.
The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday 9 – 5 and offers a salary of £40,000 per annum.

£1,000 salary uplift after your first 6 months and a further £1,000 salary uplift after 12 months.
Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you’re an Approved Functional Assessor.
Work‑life balance: 9 am – 5 pm contracts with no nights or weekend shifts required.
The role is a hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week working at one of our consultation centres.

Responsibilities
You will undertake a combination of file‑work, face‑to‑face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits and provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims. Such assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day‑to‑day life and performing work‑related activities.
Comprehensive training will provide you with the skills to support customers and transfer your current skills and knowledge to the level required for the role. You will have ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours CPD protected per annum, support with revalidation and the opportunity to develop your career within the organisation.
Requirements
* One year’s post‑registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
* Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
* Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
* The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
