The role
EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full Time – September 2026 TS3 Area – £444 per week Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a caring and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work within a primary school in the TS3 area . This is a full-time role , working Monday to Friday during school hours. The successful candidate will provide general classroom support within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) , working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support children's learning, development, and wellbeing. The role will commence in September 2026 and is ongoing, with the potential to become long-term depending on the needs of the school. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning . Previous experience working within an EYFS setting would be advantageous. The Role Working as part of a supportive Early Years team, the desired EYFS Teaching Assistant will provide high-quality support across the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for all children. Responsibilities may include: Supporting children during whole-class, group, and individual learning activities. Assisting with the delivery of EYFS learning opportunities through play-based and structured activities. Encouraging children's social, emotional, and communication development. Supporting children with routines, transitions, and daily classroom activities. Assisting the class teacher with the preparation of resources and learning environments. Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Observing and supporting children's progress and development. Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. The successful candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting young children during the early stages of their education. Requirements To be considered for the EYFS Teaching Assistant position, you will: Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. Have experience working within an EYFS or primary school setting. Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development. Be confident supporting children in both group and individual learning activities. Demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills. Have a genuine passion for supporting young children in their early years of education. Be able to work effectively as part of a wider school support team.
