Consultant Neonatologist 10 PAs

Closing date: 04 December 2025

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well‑integrated team.

The successful candidate will occupy a newly developed post designed to expand the service’s capacity to provide sustainable and equitable consultant leadership across the week. They will work in the same pattern as, and make a significant contribution to, a well‑integrated team delivering quaternary neonatal care. The post offers the opportunity to develop areas of expertise and to join the team during a significant refurbishment of the neonatal intensive care area.

In addition to the clinical challenges, we provide commitment to teaching, education, research and audit.

Candidates must be registered medical practitioners and either already registered or eligible to join the Specialist Register within six months of the appointments committee decision.

As a flexible‑working friendly organisation, we encourage discussion about how we might accommodate a flexible working arrangement that is suitable for you, the service and our patients.

For further information and an informal discussion, contact Dr Richard Hearn at 0191 2825034 or via email at rhearn@nhs.net.
