Head Chef – Restaurant (Sussex)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at our beautiful Spanish Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Sussex. Known for vibrant flavours, fresh seasonal ingredients, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we are looking for someone who can bring creativity, leadership, and excellence to our food offering.
The Role:
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for:

Leading and inspiring a kitchen brigade of 6.
*
Designing and developing seasonal menus that showcase authentic Spanish Mediterranean cuisine.
*
Overseeing food preparation and service for both lunch and dinner services.
*
Managing kitchen operations, including ordering, stock control, and costings.
*
Training, mentoring, and motivating the team to deliver consistently high standards.
*
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
About You:

A strong background as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in Mediterranean or similar fresh, seasonal cuisine.
*
Creative flair with a passion for Spanish flavours and modern presentation.
*
Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and inspire a team.
*
Excellent organisational and financial acumen, including experience with menu costings and GP targets.
*
A calm, positive attitude under pressure and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
