A dynamic K-12 school located in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This contractual position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse student body, including those within the autism population. The role is designed for the upcoming school year and requires commitment for 32.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across K-12 grades
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, particularly focusing on those with autism
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student learning and behavioral goals
* Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
* Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning efforts
Qualifications:
* Valid School Psychologist credential or certification appropriate for K-12 education
* Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school populations
* Proven ability to work effectively with students on the autism spectrum
* Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced educational environment
