We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join a dynamic entertainment company based in Manchester, with the option for fully remote work. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director and wider team in a growing business producing concerts and live theatre productions worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the Xero accounting system, ensuring full use of its functions
* Ensure approval processes are accurate and timely
* Allocate costs to projects within Xero
* Perform daily reconciliations of banking and expenses
* Assist with preparation of management accounts, including accruals and prepayments
* Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
* Maintain the fixed asset register
* Work with the wider team to ensure consistency and compliance with financial policies
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar accounts or bookkeeping role
* Advanced working knowledge of Xero
* Strong understanding of Excel and financial reconciliation processes
* Understanding of management accounts
* Ability to manage relationships effectively across the business
* Ambition and drive to grow within the role
* Exceptional communication skills
