Legal Technologist
Colchester (hybrid working)
Salary £55,000 - £65,000
Role Purpose
Support legal teams in using technology to improve workflow efficiency. Work directly with lawyers to understand their processes and introduce practical technological and process-driven solutions.
As a Legal Technologist, your Key Tasks will include:
* Implement legal technology tools such as document automation, title analysis tools, electronic signing platforms, and workflow systems.
* Review legal processes, identify inefficiencies, and redesign workflows using LEAN principles.
* Deliver training and guidance to lawyers on how to use legal technology tools.
* Run demonstrations and workshops to increase adoption of technology.
* Work on site with legal teams to understand daily challenges and provide practical solutions.
* Manage technology and process-related change projects using an agile approach.
* Work with Learning & Development and Technology teams to coordinate training and maintain tool accuracy and availability.
* Provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders and support prioritisation of work through the Technology Steering Group.
For the Legal Technologist role Skills / Experience must include:
* Experience as a practicing lawyer, ideally with real estate transactional work.
* Ability to use and explain legal technology tools.
* Ability to analyse processes, identify gaps, and propose clear solutions.
* Experience managing projects from definition through to delivery.
* Ability to work directly with lawyers and understand legal workflows.
* Ability to learn new technology tools quickly and apply them in practice.
Any Experience Of The Following Would Be Good, But Not Essentia
* Experience with LEAN process improvement.
* Experience with data analysis or visualisation tools.
* Knowledge of BPMN or other process-modelling methods.
* Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
* Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI.
