Please note this apprenticeship will be split across both the Duns store -TD11 3EJ and Edinburgh store - EH2 4PG.
ScotlandShop is a retail business with a great reputation for providing quality
fabrics, tailored clothing, and interiors products in over 500 tartans through our ecommerce website, flagship Edinburgh, Crieff, Perthshire and Albany (USA) stores and international pop-up events. We have a passion for Scotland and its heritage.
Role Purpose: We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Apprentice to learn all the
skills of working across the ScotlandShop business from Customer Service, Stock and Dispatch to Shop Floor, working in a hybrid capacity at both our Head Office in Duns and our Edinburgh store. You will be fully integrated with our teams, learning about tartan, clans and top-quality tailoring and delivering highly personal experiences to our international customer base.
40hrs per week, 8-hour days split over 5 days from Monday to Sunday.
Contribution to train fares to Edinburgh will be provided but you will be required to have your own transportation when working in Duns.

Responsibilities
Retail & Customer Service (Shop Floor & in Duns):
* Develop the skills to provide the highest standards of Customer Service at all times in line with our core values.
* Work on our CRM, LiveChat and Phones to respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner.
* Learn to process customer orders and take payments using our in-house system to be passed to tailors & manufacturers.
* Build knowledge of tartans, clans, and fabrics
* Support the team by assisting in made to measure and experience appointments, in store and virtually
* Receive and process both customer orders and stock
* Gain an understanding of our stock system, how we order custom made items and what stock we have in the business
* Learn to dispatch and log parcels with the correct couriers and track their progress.
Teamwork
* Work as part of the in-store and head office team and the business as a whole, to complete daily tasks and reach sales targets and KPIs.
* Participate in staff training, meetings and development to build knowledge and skills.
* Contribute your ideas to improve the business and embrace the can-do culture.
The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Retail SCQF 6 Qualification, which is delivered by Babington.
