Why this job matters

As a Resource Analyst, you will sit within the Contract Management Office (CMO) supporting BT Defence, owning and driving the processes that underpin resourcing and delivery planning. You'll bring strong analytical capability and stakeholder management skills, helping streamline and automate existing, spreadsheet-heavy processes and enabling better, data-led decision making up to senior manager & director level.

You will lead on streamlining and automating existing reporting and forecasting approaches, working with stakeholders across the Defence lines of business to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and present data in ways that land with senior leaders up to Director level. This is a hybrid role based in Bristol (3 days in-office / 2 days remote), requiring SC clearance or a willingness to complete the clearance process.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead the end-to-end resource forecasting process, coordinating inputs from stakeholders across lines of business and consolidating a complete "jigsaw" view.
Analyse and interrogate data to produce clear, decision-ready insights; present findings confidently to Senior Manager and Director-level stakeholders.
Streamline and automate clunky, manual processes (e.g., spreadsheet-heavy workflows) by identifying fit-for-purpose tools and implementing improved ways of working.
Proactively challenge assumptions and represent the data with confidence in senior forums, supporting discussions with Finance and other stakeholders.
Build strong relationships across a multi-stakeholder environment, chasing actions, maintaining momentum and ensuring timely, high-quality outputs.

Experience Required

Experience in a project controls, resource management, or a similar project/programme environment.
Analytical skills, with the ability to interrogate data, build clear insights, and present information to senior stakeholders (up to Director level).
Confidence driving process improvement, including identifying opportunities to streamline and automate reporting and ways of working.
Stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and align multiple teams to deadlines.
SC clearance is desirable; otherwise, willingness to go through the SC clearance process.

DON'T MEET EVERY SINGLE REQUIREMENT?

Studies have shown that women and people who are disabled, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse or from ethnic minority backgrounds are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification and criteria.

We're committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace where everyone can be their best, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every requirement on the Job Description, please apply anyway - you may just be the right candidate for this or other roles in our wider team.
