Horton Housing are currently looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join our Intensive Housing Management Scheme based in Halifax.The role is a permanent full time position working Monday to Fridays, however, the successful candidate will need to be able to work flexibly on occasion due to the nature of working with people we support.In return you will receive £26 655 per annum, be entitled to 6 week holiday (plus bank holidays) and access to our Employee Assistance Programme. Full training will be provided.Reporting to the Scheme Manager, you will be working across Calderdale supporting the day-to-day operational management of properties.You will provide intensive housing management to tenants including duties such as assisting tenants to comply with the terms of their occupancy agreement, recording, handling repairs, minimising voids. You will liaise very closely with internal and external professionals working with our tenants.Essential experience required:Understanding of and/or experience of the challenges faced by people going through difficult times e.g. homelessness, ill-health, offending, unemployment etc. This could be through paid employment, volunteering or lived experience.Understanding of and/or experience of strength-based, person-led approaches to working alongside people.
