Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional well-being.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
* Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring they receive personalised support.
* Engage residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life and emotional well-being.
* Drive residents to appointments or social outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home or home setting.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential.
* A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* Proficient in English with strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members.
* Basic IT skills for documenting care activities and accessing information as needed.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when required.
* A compassionate attitude towards caring for others and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 weeks
Pay: £12.21-£12.22 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 37 per week
