The opportunity is to develop the skills required to become a skilled engineer in the installation, service and repair of Industrial Refrigeration Equipment. \nApplicants should have a flexible approach to working to help keep customers refrigeration plants in prime condition. Founded in 1970, Star have been pioneering natural refrigeration and heating technology for the benefit of our customers, staff and environment alike.\n\nStar are seeking to recruit 2 apprentice Pipe Fabrication Engineers. They will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of industrial refrigeration equipment at the Thornliebank and Renfrew sites. The opportunity is a 4 year programme with much of the 1st years training being conducted at EKGTA. On successful completion of the apprenticeship the candidate will have achieved a Modern Apprenticeship Certificate in Fabrication & Welding, a National Certificate qualification and SCQF level 5 and SCQF Level 7 Diploma in Engineering plus meta skills. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 SCQF Level 5 qualifications at C or better including Maths, English at least 1 science or technical subject.
