Role
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Pay And Conditions/Payroll Administrator with a strong background in end‑to‑end payroll. You will join a Pay & Conditions Team as a full‑time payroll administrator providing a payroll service for the Council and a number of external clients. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of cost‑effective, timely services to ensure the team meets the needs of internal and external customers. Your role will also involve processing payroll payments, dealing with pay queries via the ContactUs helpline and providing guidance on employment terms & conditions.
Qualifications
* A strong background in end to end payroll
* Excellent organisational skills to prioritise workloads and maintain service levels
* Previous administrative payroll experience
* Previous experience of providing guidance on employment terms & conditions relating to payroll
* Good understanding and knowledge of payroll processes to ensure compliance with regulations
* Technically efficient
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Able to efficiently answer tax and pay queries
* Able to cope under pressure and manage competing demands
* Knowledge of statutory requirements
* Ability to support monthly deadlines
