About the Role
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about food? We are on the lookout for a Specifications Technologist to join our dynamic Innovation & NPD team in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse product range, supporting both new product development and ensuring ongoing product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, complete, and manage customer product specifications to meet agreed deadlines.
* Collaborate with Technical and NPD teams to ensure specifications accurately reflect manufacturing processes.
* Organize and maintain documentation, including raw material and finished product specs, nutritional data, and compliance reports.
* Review and approve packaging artwork to ensure legal and customer labeling compliance.
* Stay updated with market trends and ensure technical standards align with business and customer expectations.
About You
This role is perfect for someone with a factory-based technologist background or a recent graduate with a relevant degree and a year of industry experience. You should possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive during seasonal peaks.
Key Skills
* Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing or a related technical field.
* Ideally qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
* Excellent attention to detail and confidence in managing technical data and documentation.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams.
* Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications (Level 2) are desirable.
Working Hours
* Onsite Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
* 40 hours per week.
