Job Advert: SEN Teaching Assistant – Hackney

Roles & Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one or small-group support for pupils with special educational needs.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning.
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development throughout the school day.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure high-quality provision.
Help create a calm, nurturing learning environment that reflects the school’s values.
Contribute to classroom activities, behaviour management and general learning support.
About You
Has experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
Is patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting children’s individual needs.
Demonstrates strong communication skills and works well within a team.
Is enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about helping children thrive.
Is respectful of and willing to uphold the school’s faith-based ethos.
