The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works. Take the lead engineering role in managing the Electrical design team for Egis, and predominately the Old Oak Common Station project, as part of Egis-VVB Engineering joint venture ‘Anthro’
Electrical CRE within OOC, responsible for the consistency of the deliverables across the project.
Lead the Anthro London design office and create a positive working environment
Plan and co-ordinate the activities of the design team (CAD/BIM, engineers, expert resources)
Review, evaluate and implement rail industry standards to ensure compliance of the engineering deliverables to the standards (quality)
Coordinate the Quality aspects of the electrical sub-systems deliverables as per the project Quality Management plan principles
Review and approve (wherever applicable) all deliverables, act as a technical control level across projects
Competency assessment, Professional reviews, Training plan, Guidance and mentoring to junior team members And support the senior team in growing the technical capability of the discipline/business
Promotion and encouragement of innovation
Capitalization of the acquired know-how to share it across projects
BSc or similar in Bachelor Degree (BEng, BSc) in a Numerate, Scientific or Engineering subject or Higher Education/equivalent training and experience.
~ 10-15 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions, with at least 5 years’ experience as a Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE) / Engineering Manager (CEM) in major infrastructure/transportation projects
~ Ability to motivate and drive multi-disciplinary engineering teams to work together and deliver high quality outputs
~ Experience of working in an engineering production environment
~ A railway background, preferably in Building Services / Major Stations
~ A clear understanding of our multi-disciplinary design approach and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stage gates
~ Strong knowledge of engineering software tools including Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux
~ Good knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL
~ Experience of Implementing BIM Level 2 Accreditation / Certification to ISO 19650 within a Business Environment
~ Track record of mobilizing teams to ISO19650 on project kick offs
~ Excellent understanding of all relevant BIM standards, design integration procedures and relevant legislation
~ Significant experience of developing and implementing strategies for projects and programmes
~ Excellent knowledge of quality assurance
~ Excellent knowledge and understanding of rail engineering, including Network Rail and associated rail standards, and related regulations (CDM, CSM, RIR)
~ Excellent engineering, analytical and problem-solving abilities
