Lead and inspire a year group in our outstanding Barking school! Preference for candidates with a background in core subjects.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated teacher, ideally with a background in English, Maths, or Science, to join our pastoral team as a Head of Year. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the academic progress, well-being, and personal development of our students within our supportive and high-achieving school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide outstanding pastoral care and guidance to a designated year group.
* Monitor and support the academic progress of students, working closely with subject teachers.
* Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
* Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
* Lead a team of form tutors to ensure consistent support for students.
* Contribute to the wider pastoral provision and ethos of the school.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team of form tutors.
