Operations Controller What We’re Looking For: We are looking for an Operations Controller on a seasonal casual basis, responsible for the operational running and communication across the Dreamland site; reporting into the Head of Safety & Estates. Please note: This is a seasonal position. However, for those who show dedication and enthusiasm, there are opportunities for progression to return for future seasons or transition into other roles within Dreamland. You will be responsible for ensuring all Security incident logs are maintained with daily reporting information. The logs must be kept up to date and available for reference at any time You will possess control room operational experience ideally gained in a similar environment. You will be able to communicate in both standard and event operations. The control room will be operational 24 hours a day 7 days per week. You will be expected to work in a shift pattern of 12-hour shifts, detailed in advance, which will require both night and day working. You must be resourceful, energetic, and well-presented, you will be creative and supremely well-organised, with razor sharp attention to detail. You will assist the team by liaising with all departments to ensure smooth daily operations and will process CCTV requests, reviews and downloads once authorised by the Head of Safety & Estates Key Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure all Security incident logs are maintained with daily reporting information. The logs must be kept up to date and available for reference at any time. Be fully converse in the Dreamland Incident Management Plan and able to accurately implement your responsibilities in the event of an incident. Liaise and communicate with all relevant departments to collect updates on their departmental status, relay any relevant information on the daily briefing sheet and circulate via email to an agreed group of Managers. You will be responsible for liaising with the FCT and the emergency services to help ensure Dreamland receives all relevant services and outcomes. You will be trained in and have detailed working knowledge of the following systems: CCTV Fire Alarm System including PAVA Radio System Effectively communicating all relevant information is being cascaded to the correct teams. Collecting and recording any accidents and incidents on to our recording software system along with collating any relevant evidence – CCTV, witness statements. Monitoring CCTV for any potential or occurring incidents and providing updates to the Duty Manager. Processing CCTV requests, reviews and downloads once authorised by the Head of Safety & Estates. Monitoring the fire alarm panel for any possible fire/smoke/heat alarm activations which must be investigated by the FCT before deciding to evacuate the premise. Ensuring there is sufficient radio equipment for each operational allocation, with spare batteries on charge plus all radios and equipment are returned to a satisfactory standard and ready for re-deployment. Ensuring all daily paperwork is saved and filed correctly. Ensuring any incidents are reported in a timely manner with all supporting statements, CCTV and paperwork. Liaising with all departments to ensure smooth daily operations. Important Information This is a seasonal, zero-hours role, running from June to October, primarily on weekends and during school holidays.
