Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs are required in Worcestershire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with Special Education Needs (SEN) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). We support children and young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). We are looking for tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at‑risk, and vulnerable learners in Worcestershire.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD / SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support young people referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social‑emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, or mentoring
* Provide holistic, engaging sessions that meet the young person’s needs and advance their educational and social‑emotional progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the young person’s progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (can be obtained at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online assignments

SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, providing short‑term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer a set amount of work nor expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self‑employed tutoring or teaching position
