About the Role:Were looking for a reliable and technically skilled Senior Cradle/BMU Engineer to lead complex inspections, testing, and remedial work across a range of faade access systems. Youll supervise teams, ensure safety compliance, and act as a technical point of contact for clients and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead site-based inspections, servicing, and fault diagnosis of BMUs and cradle equipment
* Inspection of fall protection equipment
* Manage on-site teams including Engineers, Associates, and Trainees
* Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and internal procedures
* Support technical troubleshooting and escalate complex issues
* Train and mentor junior engineers and apprentices
* Liaise with clients and contribute to project planning or RAMS reviews
Essential Skills:
* Extensive experience with cradle systems or faade access equipment
* Proven experience carrying out LG3 works
* Electrical systems experience (motors, control panels, limit switches, etc.)
* Strong understanding of PLC systems and inverter drive controls
* Strong understanding of LOLER and associated legislation
* Full UK manual driving licence
* SSSTS (or equivalent)
* Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
Desirable:
* PASMA/IPAF certification
* Simpro or similar job system experience
* LOLER inspection qualification or training
