Senior Quantity Surveyor – Chester (Major Infrastructure Project)

A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major civil engineering project in Chester. You’ll play a key role in commercial management, cost control, and contract administration, working closely with senior leadership and maintaining a strong on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare commercial reports, valuations, and applications for payment.
* Produce client cost reports with full contractual compliance.
* Manage procurement schedules for subcontractors and materials.
* Administer subcontractor accounts, payments, variations, and final accounts.
* Lead contract administration, change management, and commercial registers.
* Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
* Track and manage project costs using internal systems.
About You
* 5+ years’ QS experience, including 2+ years as a Senior QS.
* Essential experience in shafts and tunnelling projects.
* Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and negotiation ability.
