Strategic Impact You’ll play a key role in shaping service quality by resolving complaints and influencing policy improvements Your work directly supports safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, making a real difference in people’s lives. Variety and Complexity The role involves managing complex, sensitive cases, which keeps the work challenging and intellectually stimulating You’ll engage with schools, governors, senior managers, and external bodies, giving you broad exposure and influence Professional Development Opportunity to develop expertise in complaints handling, safeguarding, and quality assurance Gain experience in data analysis, reporting, and system configuration, enhancing your technical and analytical skills Collaboration and Leadership You’ll advise and guide managers and schools, building strong professional credibility Involvement in Stage 2 investigations and Stage 3 panels offers insight into governance and decision-making processes Contribution to Continuous Improvement You’ll help shape policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice Your input into quality assurance projects and audits supports the council’s commitment to excellence Recognition and Responsibility Represent the council in high-profile areas like OFSTED and Internal Audit Your role ensures data integrity and transparency, which is critical for public trust Work Environment Desk-based with flexibility to manage priorities, ideal for those who thrive in structured yet dynamic settings Part of a supportive team culture aligned with Dorset Council’s values: Respect, Responsibility, Recognition, and Collaboration.
