Purpose of the position The purpose of the role is to ensure that the customer receives a high-quality product in line with process and product specification. The role will support all stages of the manufacturing process where appropriate and in accordance with health and safety regulations and process instructions. Accountability: The role is accountable for the integrity of products delivered to customers. For working in and creating a safe environment and adhering to all health and safety requirements. Responsibilities: To use and maintain tools and equipment safely and in line with instructions, create a safety culture. To validate product to the required standard and to complete accurately and timely all documentation associated with the relevant process. To work in line with standard hours and avoid unnecessary waste. Work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. Work in accordance with company values and support colleagues when needed. Work to identify and report any opportunities for improvement and be adaptable to change. The role will support all stages of the manufacturing process where appropriate but will primarily be focused on the manufacture of a product from instructions from cloth cutting stage to assembly in accordance with health and safety regulations and process instructions. Responsibilities: Safety - to use and maintain tools and equipment safely and in line with instructions, create a safety culture. Quality - to produce product to the required standard and to complete accurately and timely all documentation associated with the manufacturing process. Cost - to work in line with standard hours and avoid unnecessary waste, organise activities to maximise productivity Delivery - to work in accordance to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. People - to work in accordance with company values and support colleagues when needed Continuous Improvement - to identify and report any opportunities for improvement and be adaptable to change. Tasks: Inspection: To assess and validate composite and metallic products across the entire site in accordance with process instructions and drawing requirements. Goods inward inspection: To validate purchased items against purchase orders and supplied documentation in accordance with process and drawing requirements. 3D Scanning & CMM: Measure stage and finished products in accordance with process and customer requirements. Paint: validate in-process and finished items using electronic DFT, WFT, Gloss and pin hole gauges. Documentation: To complete job cards and other documentation accurately and on time. Cures: To verify autoclave / oven cures during the inspection processes. Instructions: To follow appropriate technical drawings, instructions and or diagrams. Communication: To communicate with other areas to share any issues and contribute to the smooth running of production. To define new measurement methodology and processes. To have technical knowledge of and able to competently perform technical measurement activities. Experienced using hand measurement tools including Vernier, Micrometer, height gauges, Pin and Thread gauges. Working to instructions and company / customer requirements. Experience operating or programming Wenzel quartis and VX elements is a distinct advantage. Able to read and interpret technical documents, standards and drawings. Education: Good standard of education. Experience: Experienced in a process driven production environment. experienced within a manufacturing environment such as clean rooms and electrical cells. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Experienced working in a team, But confident to work on own initiative. Additional local needs : Ability to attend site at Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire for 5 days per week.
