A regional Housing Association are seeking a Builidng Safety Manager to join the organisation to lead on all safety and compliance matters within the Asset management Team. The Building Safety Manager will be solely responsible for leading on all corporate compliance with the focus on Health & Safety (H&S) duties as a landlord, employer, maintenance works and construction client as well as managing a small team. You will be expected to be the organisations’ competent person and manage all H&S aspects relating to the property portfolio and Manage corporate H&S arrangements to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice. You will Work with Senior managers to ensure that H&S policies and procedures reflect regulatory requirements and are aligned with sector best practice. It is expected you will undertake a strategic approach to the effective management of property related compliance activities, including gas, asbestos, fire, water, electrical, and mechanical safety, and be able to implement an active asset management strategy.
