Responsibilities
Job Summary: The Service Technician will perform hot checks and service calls. Must be able to troubleshoot accurately and efficiently.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Ensuring homeowner calls are met in a timely manner
* Completing all work at homeowners’ homes in a neat and workmanlike manner
* Correcting any issues listed on work tickets for homeowners
* Ensuring all homes entered are left clean of debris and materials
* Navigating situations with homeowners and deescalating dissatisfied customers by reassuring them that we are providing the best service possible
* Being available during required on-call hours for after-hour emergency service on a rotating schedule with other service techs
* Performing other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Electrical trade knowledge for all aspects of residential electrical work
* Ability to read prints and scale to ensure proper placement of fixtures, receptacles, switches, etc.
* Excellent communication skills, including active listening and attentiveness
* Service-oriented with the ability to resolve customer grievances
* Strong time management, organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills
* Ability to stay focused on tasks and work well under pressure
Education and Experience:
* Previous experience in all phases of residential electrical work
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
* Prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, and ladder climbing
* Ability to pull wires and cables through conduits
* Work in confined spaces
* Use hand and power tools for extended periods
* Clean driving record
