Our Salisbury team is looking for a Specialist Learning Support Teacher
In this position, you will be responsible to :
* Assist and support individual pupils on the SEND register by planning and preparing lessons, assessing pupil progress and next step.
* Support students on the SEND register as required, including those with EHCPs.

About You
* Extensive experience working with children with Down syndrome.
* Experience working with children in Key Stage 2.
* Experience working with children with communication and interaction difficulties.
* Fluent in Makaton or sign-a-long.
* Knowledge of effective strategies which aid children with communication and interaction difficulties.
* Knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural and physical needs of pupils.
* Interest in how children learn and behave.
* Provide appropriate role models of behaviour both in the classroom and around school.
* Care about children, particularly those who find learning and managing their behaviour difficult.
