Located in the heart of the Tees Valley, Bede Sixth Form College is thriving and continues to build on its success. We are proud to have recently achieved an Outstanding rating from Ofsted. Our innovative and destination driven Sixth Form offers a wide range of both A-level and vocational provision to the community.
Our teaching and learning strategy is research based and focused on cognitive science. We have invested significantly in professional development to ensure all of our teachers are evidence informed practitioners, continuously developing their own pedagogy to ensure the very best outcomes for our learners. Our teachers work alongside a team of Personal Progression Coordinators (PPCs) to ensure that our learners are supported holistically throughout their time at Bede.
We are part Education Training Collective (Etc.), which is of a group of colleges in the Tees Valley; Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College, Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training and The Skills Academy. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and forward-thinking Teacher of A Level Computer Science to join our thriving Sixth Form team. At Bede Sixth Form, we are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative education that prepares students for success in a rapidly evolving digital world. As a Computer Science teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons, provide meaningful feedback, and support students to achieve their full potential. We work closely with employers, universities, and industry partners to ensure our learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in competitive environments.
The ability to teach other subject areas would be desirable. Applications are welcome from candidates seeking either part-time or full-time positions. Role to begin January 2026 or earlier (depending on completion of pre-employment checks).
Schedule
We have a unique timetable at Bede Sixth Form designed with student and staff wellbeing in mind. Our lessons start from 10 am to 4 pm, and we deliver a maximum of two lessons a day.
