Overview
The role of Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) is to contribute towards the management of Lancashire's highway network by ensuring that highway users comply with parking and traffic regulations. CEOs identify and take appropriate action against non-compliance to help keep the highway network operating safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
* Maximise compliance with parking and traffic rules and regulations
* Identify and take appropriate action against non-compliance
* Ensure enforcement action is appropriate and accurate
* Patrol Lancashire's highway network on foot and in a Lancashire County Council vehicle
* Work outdoors in all-weather conditions and in potentially challenging situations
* Use ICT as part of the role and wear a provided uniform
Requirements / Qualifications
* Full driving licence and ability to drive a Lancashire County Council vehicle
* Enhanced DBS check prior to starting; training and accreditation within 6 months of employment
* Evidence of meeting criteria for the role (supporting statement) uploaded with application
* Role falls under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended); if successful, DBS disclosure will be required
Job Details
* Salary: £25,989–£28,142 per annum
* Employment type: Permanent, Full-Time
* Hours: 37 hours per week
* Location: Lancaster
* Working pattern: 5 days over 7, with shift/rota basis to provide enforcement coverage
