Summary of Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team to perform software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED based control and/or SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The successful candidate will work in a team on all project lifecycle aspects for PLC/IED and SCADA/DCS systems in renewable power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution industries. Projects include system upgrades, modifications, and new builds. On-the-job training will be provided. This role suits graduates seeking a career in control system automation software.
* University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar
* Coding experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
* Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
* Interest or understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and networking
* Willingness to travel and work away when required
* Experience in writing PLC software to IEC61131 standards using ladder, function block, sequential function chart, and structured text
* Experience with SCADA systems
* Experience with communication protocols
* Experience with virtualization using VMWare or HyperV
* Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and domain configuration
* Experience configuring network switches and firewalls
* Experience with simulation software such as SIMIT, PICS, or WinMOD
* Full UK Driving Licence
