Laboratory Analyst – Bristol
Salary: £25,000 – £26,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 (4:30pm finish on Fridays)
Additional: Closed over Christmas
If you are looking for your first role in a laboratory environment and have a genuine interest in science, this position is an excellent starting point. You will join a small, supportive team who will provide full training, including funding for your BOHS P401 qualification.
Main Duties
* Sample Preparation - preparing and organising materials for analysis
* Laboratory Testing - carrying out routine checks on samples and recording results accurately
* Quality Control - ensuring all testing meets required standards and procedures
* Data Entry - inputting results into internal systems with strong attention to detail
* Equipment Maintenance - keeping the laboratory clean, safe, and assisting with basic equipment care
* Team Collaboration - supporting colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations

* Attention to Detail - ability to follow procedures accurately
* Organisational Skills - managing samples, documentation, and workflow effectively
* Communication Skills - clear written and verbal communication within the team
* Basic IT Literacy - comfortable using databases and recording results
