We have a fantastic opportunity for a Courier Driver to join our team based in [Location].
The main purpose of the courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment.
The role requires excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards. Responsibilities include recording tasks and items delivered or collected using electronic and paper forms, ensuring all courier tasks are completed correctly and on schedule. The role may involve heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods, using a tail lift, and loading/unloading of roll cages.
The role involves driving vehicles from small vans up to 3.5-tonne Luton vans, which can be driven on a category B UK manual driving licence.

Other duties include:
* Carrying out courier journeys to various locations
* Completing digital and manual documentation
* Maintaining contact with the operations office
* Ensuring items are safe and secure
* Complying with the Road Traffic Act and relevant legislation
* Acting as customer contact at delivery points
* Performing vehicle checks and reporting defects
* Maintaining politeness and courtesy
Requirements:
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Effective route planning skills
* Good communication skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Problem-solving skills
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to use a PDA (training provided)
* Clear handwriting
* Knowledge of local areas
You must have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
