Job Description
We are looking for an Apprentice Assistant Management Accountant to join our team on a 2-year fixed‑term contract. This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while studying towards a professional qualification in AAT.
This role will primarily work within our Finance Centre of Excellence but will also interact with and spend time in Divisional Finance as required or suitable.
You will be part of a rotational programme covering different aspects of Finance, which will include:
* Accounts Payable: Processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and managing payment runs.
* Accounts Receivable: Raising invoices, chasing outstanding debts, and reconciling customer accounts.
* Management Accounting: Preparing monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliation, and supporting audit processes.
* Reporting & Planning: Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Finance team with day‑to‑day tasks and projects.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
* Participate in the rotational programme, gaining experience in different areas of Finance.
* Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills.
